Glorious Golf Club Refurb!

Bolton Golf Club is an 18 hole championship golf course. The club is immensely proud of the variety of shots scattered across perfectly maintained fairways with well-positioned bunkers and mature woods. With hills, ravines and streams, and breathtaking panoramic views, the clubhouse has a lot to live up to, to match the quality and elegance of their course.

To maintain the great social space for members and commercial opportunities for the club, the management team determined to refresh the bar, lounge and function room. They appointed the superb team at CMJ Bar Fitting to realize their refurbishment ambitions.  Taking the brief, CMJ came to long-term suppliers Wilton for a carpet which would work with the concept. We had recently launched our new collection, Vienna. Bold, full of geometric character and woven in the contemporary pastels of our Serenity palette, the club were delighted with the design concept presented by CMJ.

The design used varies according to the direction you look at it from. Close up the gothic shaping of the motif is apparent, from across the room, striking zig zags traverse the space, but looked at straight on, the subtle layered white stripes offer another dimension. The mineral colour palette is both contemporary and calming; very much the palette of trendy commercial interiors while the natural tones offer earthy comfort.

The design team were delighted with the overall aesthetic and the staff and members of the golf club are very impressed with the transformation.  Critical to the heart of a golf club are the members and their sense of belonging and engagement, as is the revenue potential from a high-end function space, demonstrating the importance of this investment into the community and commercial success of the club.
