You can trace our origins back to 2 Huguenot weavers smuggled out of the French court to teach the people of Wilton a weaving technique which became Wilton carpet. In that 300 years we’ve woven carpet for seats of government, palaces, castles, listed buildings and ancient institutions which have social and historic significance for generations of people. We’re honoured that our history is interwoven with the maintenance of these special venues.
We’ve a wealth of classic patterns to choose from or be inspired by in our design bank but most frequently, heritage venues demand bespoke design. Our studio team are delighted to take inspiration from existing soft-furnishings, the architecture or simply the period of the building to develop a design which is faithful to the period or a sensitively considered design refresh.
