The priorities for this project were to provide a grand entrance for this prestigious and Grade II listed building. Built at the height of the art deco movement, it was important the refurbishment honoured the architectural style. The brief was to interpret the art deco forms within the building and incorporate those into the design of the carpet. A circular border was selected for the rotunda and inset rugs for the corridor areas, with a background and colour palette that would continue to look fantastic in the long term, even in a busy entrance lobby.
“We took full use of the Wilton Design service to give us inspiration and Becky interpreted our ideas perfectly.”
