Marketing Manager
At the Wilton Carpet Factory, we design and weave some of the highest quality carpets in the world. Our customers are luxury hotels, major entertainment and sporting venues and grand public buildings in countries all around the world. A heritage brand, we have been designing and making premium quality carpets for over 300 years in Wilton, near Salisbury.
We are now looking for an experienced and adaptable Marketing Manager.
Reporting into the Sales and Marketing Director, the successful candidate will have responsibility for all elements of B2B marketing of the Wilton Carpets brand and solutions.
The main responsibilities are:
- Strategy & Brand Development: working closely with the Sales & Marketing Director develop and implement the overall marketing strategy, including the identification and exploration of new market and product opportunities.
- Marketing & Merchandising Budget: propose annual spending levels and manage the marketing budget ensuring proper control, planning, execution and internal communication of spend, to achieve maximum impact.
- Marketing Communications: responsible for all external and internal marketing communications including PR, electronic and printed brochures, roomset and image creation, case study organisation and production and price lists. Additionally, oversee all customer communication with the various target markets including flooring contractors, interior designers, commercial hotel and hospitality owners and managers, and of course internal staff.
- Website: management and control of the development and direction of both wiltoncarpets.com and wiltondesignhub.com including content creation and management, SEO, lead generation and image selection.
- Product Launch Process: managing the timely launch and positioning of new products ensuring the creation of content, marketing literature, promotional materials, press releases, web content and copy, names and sampling ensuring timely internal communication of any product launch with the Sales Team, Sales Administration and Production.
- Merchandising and Sampling: working with the Sales & Marketing Director and managing the Sampling and Marketing Assistant in the development of all sampling and merchandising including A4 folders and presentation ideas, pattern books and swatches according to the agreed stocking policy.
- Social Media Creation and Management: creation of regular professional content and imagery for social media platforms including photography of people, customers, carpets and the factory.
- Lead Generation and Management: working closely with the sales team and the export team create incoming leads through SEO, content creation, social media, DM and email marketing and ensure that all lead are distributed and responded to in a timely and professional manner and report on all activities and conversion.
- Marketing Reporting: produce a precise monthly marketing report on all activities for Board Meetings highlighting issues and successes.
About You
This is a varied and interesting B2B marketing management role that will suit someone with previous marketing management experience who has outstanding verbal and written skills.
We are looking for a highly-effective communicator who has a strong creative flair, is able to be a team-player within the managerial team, who enjoys problem-solving and offering solutions and new ideas.
Additionally, the following skills and experience are desirable:
- Experience of setting and managing budgets and controlling spending.
- Used to selecting and working with external agencies for specialist services such as PR and graphic design.
- A deep understanding of website, content creation and SEO, in particular WordPress.
- A good eye for design and the creation of brochures including management of the printing process
- Excellent organisations skills with proven experience of successfully managing multiple projects.
- A good understanding of marketing technology and systems including CRM, marketing automation, adobe photoshop, Dropbox and all standard MS office applications.
- An appreciation and experience of social media platforms and their use in B2B markets
